Email QR Code Generator

An email QR code is useful when you want a scan to open the visitor's email app with the recipient already filled in. PlainQR can also add a subject line and message body, which is helpful for support requests, event responses, simple lead capture, or internal workflows where the user should start from a prewritten draft. Everything is generated locally in the browser, so PlainQR behaves like a tool, not a funnel. You enter the email details, confirm the preview, and download a static QR code as SVG or PNG.

FAQ

Short answers to the practical questions people usually ask before they download.

Is the email actually sent by PlainQR?
No. PlainQR only generates a mailto link, so the scan opens the visitor's email app and the user chooses whether to send it.
Can I leave subject and body empty?
Yes. Only the recipient is required. Subject and body are optional additions to the generated mailto payload.
Will this work without a backend?
Yes. Email QR codes in PlainQR are fully client-side and do not rely on an API or server route.
