What PlainQR does

PlainQR is designed to be understood at a glance and used in a minute.

PlainQR is a narrow tool for creating static QR codes in the browser. It supports text and URLs, Wi-Fi, contact details, email, phone, and SMS without turning a quick task into an account workflow.
Everything happens client-side. That means there is no database, no saved history, no scan analytics, and no dynamic QR management dashboard sitting between you and the file you actually need.

QR code types

Each use case has its own page so search engines and people can land directly on the right tool.

Privacy and trust

PlainQR stays narrow on purpose so the job remains fast and understandable.

Generated locally in your browser.

No login, no stored data, no account funnel.

Static QR codes only: SVG and PNG downloads.

Not a QR platform

PlainQR stays deliberately narrow.

Static QR generation only
PlainQR is for local static QR generation, not dynamic QR management, editable campaign links, or scan analytics. If you want a quick file and nothing else, that is the point.

FAQ

Short answers to the practical questions people usually ask before they download.

Are the QR codes generated on a server?
No. PlainQR generates previews and downloads locally in the browser using client-side code only.
Does PlainQR create dynamic or editable QR codes?
No. PlainQR is intentionally limited to static QR codes. If the destination changes, you generate a new code.
What file types can I download?
PlainQR exports QR codes as SVG and PNG. Bulk text exports are downloaded as ZIP archives of those file types.
Does PlainQR track scans or store payloads?
No. There is no login, no saved history, no database, and no scan analytics layer in the product.
Do you track site usage?
Yes, PlainQR uses Umami for basic privacy-focused site analytics. We mainly use simple, anonymized usage metrics such as page views and visits to understand which parts of the site are used. QR generation still happens locally in the browser, and your QR payloads are not sent through the app.
